Happy Saturday folks. It’s been a rainy overcast day on this end. But I woke up smiling. Why? Simple: I got to wake up today. And all my parts are working. Maybe not like 10 or 20 or 30 years ago, but still working. I see that as a good thing.

As I’ve been driving for Lyft and Uber I have seen so many car accidents. It’s sad really. And a bit daunting too. I mean, every day–practically–someone is in a car accident.  Someone is either injured or killed in said car accidents. And if by some miracle they are not injured or killed they now have to deal with the trauma of being in one. Not to mention the damage done to their vehicle and/or another’s vehicle.

All of it just makes me 1.) Be even more careful while I’m driving– whether by myself or when I have a passenger. And 2.) Be grateful for each millisecond I am alive. And in doing so to rejoice for all that I have in my life.  No matter how big or small.

I hope you do can try and do the same.

Life is short. But it’s also so very precious. Live it well.

Put that phone down when your driving. Use your hands free, if you have it. Or let someone else call or text for you, if someone else is in the car with you. Don’t listen to music so loud that you aren’t able to pay attention to things around you. If you’re sleepy (I have been foolish with this in the past) pull over, somewhere well lit, and take a nap. And PLEASE for the love of all that is good and sacred  DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!

Be a good safe attentive driver as it will not just possibly save your life but the life of others. 👊🏾

And at all times cherish each second and rejoice in the Lord. And rejoice for the life you have. It may be far from perfect but it’s a life worth living.

No matter who you are or where you are, I hope you know you are loved and never alone. ❤
